Urban Improvement
There is a pedestrian bridge on the Schuylkill River Trail that is a serious safety problem. At a particular junction the floor is a super slick band of metal (part of an expansion joint?). After almost wiping out a number of times, I decided to fix it.
I bought a roll of adhesive, exterior non-slip tape. I actually tested two, and decided to go with a model that includes glow-in-the-dark ribbon! Yes, that is the kind of quality products I source when doing clandestine urban improvement projects.
I was sorely tempted to put up a little plaque claiming credit. I mean, obviously, claiming credit for one of my unsuspecting friends! With maybe a phone number or email address! Or maybe a fake organization (Street Brigade? Clandestine Urban League?).
